Amazon Web Services (AWS) have announced that they are investing A$6.8 billion in Australia by 2037, meaning that it will be one of the most invested cloud providers in Australia. As a result, businesses looking for a reliable cloud provider for their compute, storage, networking, business applications, developer tools, data analytics, security, machine learning, and artificial intelligence needs are most likely to find the perfect solution with AWS.
They will be launching their AWS Asia Pacific (Melbourne) region which in turn will enable local customers with data residency preferences to store data securely in Australia. At the same time customers will benefit from even lower latency which in turn will drive greater productivity, more efficient business operations, and enhanced real-time application performance.
The AWS Asia Pacific (Melbourne) Region consists of three Availability Zones and joins the existing AWS Asia Pacific (Sydney) Region, which opened in November 2012.
The Availability Zones are located far enough from each other to support customers’ business continuity and near enough to provide low latency for high availability applications that use multiple Availability Zones.
Each Availability Zone has independent power, cooling, and physical security and is connected through redundant, ultra-low latency networks.
Is your PBX hosted on AWS?
Obviously, the nearer a data centre is to your physical location the more reliable the cloud service is. In light of AWS’ recent hefty investment in the Australian market it makes sense to consider moving all your cloud applications to be hosted on AWS.
This includes your Cloud PBX too. As already mentioned, the launch of the AWS Asia Pacific (Melbourne) region in addition to the Sydney region will further enhance real-time application performance. Which is exactly what your Cloud PBX is.
3CX Cloud PBX can be hosted in AWS in a matter of minutes by simply obtaining an Amazon AWS account, creating a 3CX VM on AWS, configuring SSH and uploading your 3CX configuration.
Or we can do it all for you!
That way you’ll have the easiest to use and manage Cloud PBX running on one of the most reliable cloud providers in Australia without any hassle or drawbacks.
